Smobler’s NOVA 2024: Singapore edition turns up the heat with TOKEN2049 and the F1 night race

Smobler announced NOVA 2024: Singapore Edition, an official TOKEN2049 satellite event held with Ordinals Summit — Asia’s first large-scale Bitcoin Ordinals event — Rare Social and Champ Medici. It followed the inaugural Singapore edition the year before and the Austin edition at SXSW that March.

The event ran on 17 September at ARK11, an 8,000-square-foot sci-fi-themed club in the middle of Orchard Road, timed to sit alongside TOKEN2049 and the Formula 1 night race.

NOVA is a celebration of the communities connected to the Smobler ecosystem — among them the lifestyle conglomerate Spa Esprit Group, hardware giant Republic of Gamers, the non-profit Music For Good, and The Sandbox. AWS gave away US$100,000 worth of credits to qualified startups at the event.

Champ Medici led the roster. Widely regarded as one of the most important players in Web3, he is the architect of Snoop Dogg’s move into the sector. French electronic DJ and producer Agoria — fresh from a digital art show at the Musée d’Orsay and a set at the Paris Olympics — headlined, and joined a fireside chat with Sébastien Borget, co-founder and COO of The Sandbox.
